This piece of organic looking, handcrafted aluminium is called the ‘Frankfurt Flyer’ – a bespoke creation by American engineer Chris Runge. This is the Mazda MX-5 Superlight show car – an MX-5 speedster with weight stripped out and windscreen relegated to the scrapheap. Think of it as the purest MX-5 yet. Sadly, it's just a concept car at present, destined to be shown at the Frankfurt motor show in autumn 2009.
